Features

What you need, nothing you don't

Subscription links

Paste the link from your panel. If the server changes, the profile refreshes itself before connecting.

.ovpn files

Import from Telegram, Files, e-mail or the clipboard. Profiles with username and password work too.

One-tap connection

A big button, live status, speed, traffic, connection time and VPN IP on a single screen.

Kill switch and always-on

Works with Android's Always-on VPN and Block connections without VPN. Reconnects by itself when the network changes.

Apps without VPN

Keep banking or local apps out of the tunnel. Set your own DNS server.

Turkmen and Russian

The interface comes in two languages, with clear buttons and error messages.

Messages from your provider

Your panel admin can show a banner in the app: news, promotions or a support contact.

Account at a glance

Remaining traffic, expiry date and devices online right on the home screen.

XOR-mask: hide from DPI

Hides OpenVPN from systems that block it: with scramble xormask the traffic no longer looks like OpenVPN. Works on Android, Windows and Linux automatically.

Connected country

After connecting, the app shows the server's country (with a flag on Android).

About OpenVPN

What is OpenVPN and why OVPN Client?

What is OpenVPN?

OpenVPN is one of the most widely used open-source VPN protocols. It encrypts your traffic with TLS and AES-256 and sends it to a VPN server through a secure tunnel. Most VPN providers hand out profiles as .ovpn files.

How do I open a .ovpn file?

Install OVPN Client and open the .ovpn file with it — from Telegram, your file manager or e-mail. The profile is added instantly; all that's left is to tap connect.

OpenVPN for Windows and Linux

On Windows the installer sets up the OpenVPN driver (TAP/Wintun) for you. On Linux the .deb uses the system openvpn, and the VPN is started through a secure helper with your admin password.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the app free?

Yes, OVPN Client is free. To connect you need a profile (link or .ovpn) from your VPN provider.

Does the app come with servers?

No. OVPN Client is a client. It connects to the server in the profile you add; that server is run by the provider who gave you the profile.

How do I install it on iPhone?

The .ipa is installed outside the App Store, with TrollStore (on supported iOS versions) or a signing tool such as ESign or Sideloadly. For the VPN to work, the certificate must allow Network Extensions.

Windows shows a SmartScreen warning. What now?

The installer is not code-signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway. The app asks for administrator rights, which the VPN adapter requires.

Which profiles are supported?

OpenVPN 2.x: UDP and TCP, AES-GCM and AES-CBC, tls-auth and tls-crypt, certificates and username/password. tls-crypt-v2 and V2Ray/Xray (vless, vmess) are not supported.

It won't connect. What should I check?

Check the profile's expiry date and GB limit, then refresh the link. The app's Log shows the reason in plain words; send it to your provider.

How is it different from OpenVPN Connect?

OVPN Client uses the same OpenVPN 2.x profiles, but also supports subscription links, automatic profile updates, remaining traffic and expiry display, plus Turkmen and Russian.

How do I install OpenVPN on Linux?

Download ovpn-client_1.3.7_all.deb and double-click it, or run in a terminal: sudo apt install ./ovpn-client_1.3.7_all.deb. Then launch the app from the menu and add your .ovpn file or subscription link.
